GOLD COAST RESIDENCE

The Quest for Natural Light.

The quest for natural light, open feel and ease of connection to outdoor space were the goals for this deconversion for a Young urban family.

The lot-line-to-lot-line building with high rise neighbors on a landmark street was dark inside, had traditional cellular room layout and incongruent access to limited outdoor spaces.

Interventions via an open plan and the addition of a Conservatory at the back of the house, provided a wealth of natural light and direct connection to the terrace.

Transforming a dark urban residence into a bright and welcoming home, and supporting a modern lifestyle for the young family.
